Founded in 1971, the Augusta Surgical Group is the largest and longest affiliated general surgery group in Augusta, Georgia.

Currently comprised of four general surgeons and new additions coming soon, the group practices primarily at Piedmont Hospital, but group members also have privileges at Piedmont McDuffie, Doctors Hospital, and the Augusta Surgical Center where they provide a broad spectrum of inpatient and outpatient surgical care.

The group is also affiliated with McDuffie Surgical Associates, and provide office evaluation and services at that office for patients who would find a Thomson location more convenient. The members of the Augusta Surgical Group seek to provide excellent surgical advice and care tailored to each patient’s specific needs and other medical or social concerns that may impact their treatment. Our staff and physicians seek to treat every patient with the same degree of care, consideration, and concern with which we or our families would wish to be treated.
